About Rebecca Ford
I am a fully qualified and highly experienced Speech and Language Therapist with over 17 years experience supporting children and young adults with a wide range of speech, language and communication difficulties. I have worked for both The NHS and in Independent practice in a range of settings including special schools, mainstream schools and nurseries, hospital clinics and in client’s homes.
Prior to qualifying as a Speech and Language Therapist I obtained a BA (Hons) in English Language and Linguistics at Essex University.
From my many years experience working with children and also as a mum, I know how important it is to make sure that therapy sessions are fun. This will help motivate your child, engage them in activities and help them make more progress. I also believe in setting therapy targets that are functional; helping children and young adults further develop communication skills that they can use in everyday situations.
I hold HCPC registration and am a member of ASLTIP and RCSLT (The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists) . I am DBS cleared and compliant with the Data Protection Act.
